Josie was doing very well after losing Zeke, but Sunday night she was not acting normal. She didn't want much grain, (my goats love their grain), and wasn't eating much otherwise. She also seemed kind of lethargic compared to normal. We thought possibly bloat from too much grain in the morning, and treated her for that, but Monday morning she still wasn't her normal self. We started giving her Nutridrench and CMPK, and I only milked her part way Monday night and yesterday morning. She is doing so much better! I am very grateful, and praise God she made it and is doing better! <3

It is with Sadness that I am introducing Zeke... Josie delivered him a month early. I was not there when she delivered him, but he was dead when I found him. I know these things happen sometimes, but I am very saddened by this loss.
I am thankful that Josie is doing well. I plan on milking her twice a day, and using the milk sometime next week Lord Willing. I froze the milk/colostrum from today. Zeke... is mourned. I'm sorry he didn't make it. |
