Josie was doing very well after losing Zeke, but Sunday night she was not acting normal. She didn't want much grain, (my goats love their grain), and wasn't eating much otherwise. She also seemed kind of lethargic compared to normal. We thought possibly bloat from too much grain in the morning, and treated her for that, but Monday morning she still wasn't her normal self. We started giving her Nutridrench and CMPK, and I only milked her part way Monday night and yesterday morning. She is doing so much better! I am very grateful, and praise God she made it and is doing better! <3

It is with Sadness that I am introducing Zeke... Josie delivered him a month early. I was not there when she delivered him, but he was dead when I found him. I know these things happen sometimes, but I am very saddened by this loss.
I am thankful that Josie is doing well. I plan on milking her twice a day, and using the milk sometime next week Lord Willing. I froze the milk/colostrum from today. Zeke... is mourned. I'm sorry he didn't make it. It has been a long time since this site was updated.
Bergamot and Ashton were put down, in an effort to eliminate CL from the herd. I now have 2 does and 2 bucks, and plan to test again this Spring. I pray the results are good! I updated the Goats page, and will need to do some more site updates as well. I will likely be downsizing my rabbit herd, as I want to have more focus on raising goats and Australian Shepherds at this point, instead of many types of animals. Latte's buckling Zane went to a new home about a week ago. And upon weighing today, we determined that his twin brother, Zeb, is at an appropriate weight to be weaned. Latte has been on the milk-stand a couple of times this year, and I am thankful for her good milk-stand behavior!
Hi Everyone! Hope you are having a blessed winter!
On Saturday a new goat joined our herd; a Nigerian Dwarf buck named Bergamot! His full name is Summer Solstice BC Bergamot. :) We're looking forward to fresh milk from our does, and I'm very excited about baby goats! Any advice or questions for me? Please leave a comment! God Bless! Hello Friends!
Sherbert had her baby yesterday!! She is a dark red, with some white markings, such as on her tail and her stomach, but she's predominantly red. :D She is cute! She is doing well, she was frolicking around last night. :D Also, we now have a goat in milk, we got her from the same family we got Cookie and Latte from. :D I have been the one milking her, we've been getting about a pint each milking. :D God Bless! Hi Everyone!!
I wanted to let you know that the baby bunnies I got on Saturday now have names! :D I named the boy Snowflake Farms Mustache Boy, and the girl is Snowflake Farms Violet Rose! :D They are doing very well, and they've gotten licked by the multicolored goat Cookie! She is gentle with them! :D I will try to get pictures up for you soon! God Bless! Hey Everyone! Hope your weekend is going well!
This morning I got two female goats, named Cookie and Latte! They are mixed breed goats, partly Alpine, partly Saanen, and Latte has a little bit of Nubian in her! They both also have a little scoch of Nigerian in them! I also got two baby bunnies, one male and one female!! They are both gray and white; I haven't named them yet though! :D Hopefully Lord Willing I can get pictures for you soon of the goats and baby bunnies!! I am so excited!!!!!!!!!! God Bless! Do you like goats? I do! I would like to get one Lord Willing, maybe soon? I was looking at some of the goat breeds yesterday, and one that I like is the Nigerian Dwarf... I think this is the kind that I would be interested in getting. :D We are looking for heritage breeds, such as the Orpington chickens, and the Nigerian Dwarf goat... have you had any experiences with this type of goat, or with any other type of goat, and do you have any recommendations concerning goats? I would like to have a milking goat, even if we get a cow... I'm sure we can use the extra milk or find someone who can use it! :D
