Josie was doing very well after losing Zeke, but Sunday night she was not acting normal. She didn't want much grain, (my goats love their grain), and wasn't eating much otherwise. She also seemed kind of lethargic compared to normal. We thought possibly bloat from too much grain in the morning, and treated her for that, but Monday morning she still wasn't her normal self. We started giving her Nutridrench and CMPK, and I only milked her part way Monday night and yesterday morning. She is doing so much better! I am very grateful, and praise God she made it and is doing better! <3
It is with Sadness that I am introducing Zeke... Josie delivered him a month early. I was not there when she delivered him, but he was dead when I found him. I know these things happen sometimes, but I am very saddened by this loss.
I am thankful that Josie is doing well. I plan on milking her twice a day, and using the milk sometime next week Lord Willing. I froze the milk/colostrum from today. Zeke... is mourned. I'm sorry he didn't make it. Blessed With Goats Farms would like to introduce our newest member of the family, Legacy Farms Jrs Gia!
Gia is a blue merle Australian Shepherd female. She is a sweet girl, and is already well loved. Gia is learning Come, Sit, and Kennel Up. I am very grateful for this sweet puppy! Gia is ASCA registerable. Lord Willing, she is the future start of Blessed With Goats Aussies, along with my current Aussie, Odon. It has been a long time since this site was updated.
Bergamot and Ashton were put down, in an effort to eliminate CL from the herd. I now have 2 does and 2 bucks, and plan to test again this Spring. I pray the results are good! I updated the Goats page, and will need to do some more site updates as well. I will likely be downsizing my rabbit herd, as I want to have more focus on raising goats and Australian Shepherds at this point, instead of many types of animals. Hi Everyone! Hope you are having a blessed winter!
On Saturday a new goat joined our herd; a Nigerian Dwarf buck named Bergamot! His full name is Summer Solstice BC Bergamot. :) We're looking forward to fresh milk from our does, and I'm very excited about baby goats! Any advice or questions for me? Please leave a comment! God Bless! Hello Everyone! Long time no see. :) I hope you all had a Blessed Christmas!
In October I got a new baby bunny; a buck to go along with my doe Violet. :) He now has a name! (I don't usually wait that long to name my animals!) :) His name is Benny, and he is a black and white mixed breed. :) I took some pictures of him today, so hopefully will get those up soon. :) God Bless! Cinnamon :) Hello Everyone! I lost 3 of my favorite chickens in three days, one right after the other. :( It hurts to see loved pets die; but the important thing is what we do with the hurt! We don't want to let it make us bitter or angry, and we don't want to blame God for them dying. To everything there is a season. I enjoyed my chickens while I had them, and I won't be forgetting them any time soon! I am glad God gave me the opportunity to have them! :) Here are pictures of my beloved pets that died recently. :) (I lost my 8 year old rabbit too.) :T Lil' Puff <3 Sunshine... soo pretty! Cocoa, my shoulder-sitting bird :) Until next time, Have a very Merry Christmas and Blessed New Year!
